Matt black console with Appradio

Hi all. I have sprayed my centre console matt black and fitted my Appradio. In case you were wondering what it looks like (not that you were) this is it!

If you're still interested, basically the WRX interior is pretty plain so I used 1200 grain sand paper, sanded it all down. Sprayed some grey plastic primer. Let that over night, then used 3 coats of matt black 30 mins for each coat. Left that over night then fit it all back in.

Looks pretty neat I think.

Looks cool, only thing is the controls still being grey would annoy me.

I thought about changing mine to the later spec centre console like yours but not being able to spray the controls put me off.

Has made my mind up though, I definitely wana spray my centre console and air vents black.

Like you say I want to do the dials too but not sure how.

Having said that I like the contrast in colour if anything it makes the interior more interesting

What paint did you use?

I did the same, however used Plastidip which gives an OEM feel and look.

I can also peel it off if I want to.

Has been on a year now with no wear marks and cleans very well.
