Subaru Fast ii EPC - 2002 Prodrive Style STI Type UK

Hi folks.

has anyone had any experience of using this program? I have it (several blasted versions now :lol1:) and try as I might in whatever combination of iso installs on Windows 7, 8 or XP, I simply cannot get it to show any models past G10 Impreza, I have a Bugeye Prodrive Style so need it to show G11 :brickwall:brickwall:brickwall

Any help would be much appreciated and I am happy to share my files as long as I am not breaching any forum rules.

Thanks for any help anyone can give:confused:

...Would this question get a response if it was about fitting something shiny to my Prodrive? lol...I reckon it would. I must remember in future to title queries thus;

"Fitting some Generic Shiny Carlos Fandangos to an STI" lol

You might want to give people a chance to see the thread before
you start with smart comments. I am sure someone may well answer
when they are home from work etc...

Point taken and understood...but still nothing wrong with injecting a little humour into the proceedings. I thought I was just getting shunned cos people were jealous of my rare Type UK Prodrive (only 312 left on the road) LOL So far to date including buying the actual car...the entire project only owes me £800...plus £500 for a 2.5 litre WRX engine which is actually an Sti casting block...putting in EJ257 pistons conrods and crank to convert to full EJ257 spec then I am looking at about £2000 on the road albeit running a 5 speed box for the short-term as I haven't been lucky enough to find someone selling one who doesn't know the value of it LOL But not bad so far for a potentially £5,500 motor.

It's not jdm so no one really cares.

rob84 18 March 2015 07:29 PM

I have it. But I have it on discs. I also have the Jdm epc too.

Thanks so much for replying...how did you do the install? I can't get it to show anything past G10? Any advice is gratefully received

You obviously don't get the joke but that's fine.

And which "whip" of mine did you see? Perhaps the green
classic wagon in my profile which was sold over a year ago
and I just haven't changed the pic.

I can see you are going to fit in just fine.

You have to go into the setup program after installing and point the directory to the installed Subaru folder otherwise it wont read anything that's been installed
Mine follows a path c:\subarucd\sfcdlr2 and 3

Although there are a lot of people on here with helpful knowhow, there are not a lot with a sense of humour!
I thought you're 2nd post was quite funny !
Regarding your actually issue though.... Not a clue!

Just a bit of harmless banter...no offence meant and I hope none was taken. Merely a bit of jesting and perhaps a little teasing but all lighthearted and tongue in cheek.:thumb:

I've had a thought, you say you cant get past model code g10, have you tried using your vin number instead. I'm assuming your clicking the model code box and then g10, I've tried mine and it only shows g10 and b11 but My vin search shows the classic right through to latest saloon

Sti Prodrive Edition 18 March 2015 10:26 PM

She's a beauty Rob...nice one...well done mate.

rob84 18 March 2015 10:31 PM

Just had a look my Japanese EPC has G11 model code option and shows the prodrive style bumpers. My uk epc only has g10 model code. but if you vin search it should work

Sti Prodrive Edition 18 March 2015 11:07 PM

Thanks again Rob...will try now. Cheers

Sti Prodrive Edition 18 March 2015 11:54 PM

Nah that doesn't work either Rob...I am using the 17 digit number and it comes up vin unacceptable? If I just had the original discs and not my downloaded ones then I reckon I would understand it all better as I have the pdf manual which says how to install but on my downloaded isos I don't know which is which...bugger lol

Sti Prodrive Edition 20 March 2015 01:16 AM

At last...Fast ii EPC fully functional...Cheers Rob

Hiya Rob. Thanks for all your help with the Fast ii EPC...I got it working now after starting a clean install and following your instructions. Nice one mate...cheers. I haven't had my STI long and it is a work in progress being as it was a rolling shell I bought in October last year...I've managed to reunite it with the original Prodrive items applicable to the Prodrive Style STI and I am hoping to have a 2.5 engine in it in the next few weeks...and I am aiming for modest power hikes initially. I only paid £500 for the 2.5 as it came out of an 06 WRX and not an STI but the block is the exact same matching numbers and semi closed deck casting as the EJ257. I am assuming it is just different pistons and conrods installed at factory during production depending on whether it was to be installed in a WRX or an STI. It's all good fun though and not very expensive so far. Just on look out now for sub £1000 6 speed box now....they're coming down in price but if I have no joy, I will just run it on a spare TY754 5 speeder I have lying about. Thanks again for all your help mate. All the best
