A month off work, what to do?

In order to use up my holidays, i need to take a month off work, but what to do.

I'd like to work abroad for a month, maybe Germany, for the experience.

(i work for siemens in the offshore wind sector/ logistics)

Bit of a sh1t time of year to take time off, can't you wait till the weather improves a bit then you'll have more options open.

You won't get to the pearly gates and wish you'd spent more time at work. Put your feet up!

It's very pleasant in the Canary Islands at this time of year, and it's quite a short flight too.

Tenerife is dirt cheap at this time of year and the euro is @ 1.35. I would waste 2 weeks in Las Americas.:D

Learn a new craft/hobby/whatever.

I'd be tempted to buy an old car and try a DIY engine rebuild, or even learn to spray paint.

Great food great entertainment just gutted I only go once a year, my other haunt is Santa Ponsa in Majorca and a an other for my three holidays a year.

How can you have a month off but work in Germany for a month? I have worked in Germany and it's a really nice country. I would recommend anyone to try the place as its not the usual country anyone would consider for a holiday.

If you have a month off and want a holiday why not do something most people can't do for a month and that is to not work :D

I would spend one week testing the Nurburgring out in my scoob and a few others cars :thumb:

Spend a month in thailand plenty to do :) lol

ditchmyster 07 March 2015 08:40 AM

Book a tour with Explore and go somewhere like India, Nepal, China, Cambodia

If I had a month I'd go do the Highest road in the world tour on an Enfield Bullet 500cc and the Mogul tour for 2 weeks, stay in old Palaces and go on Tiger Safaris on elephant back, I've done it and it's fantastic. :thumb:

Do something you will always remember. Track day, parachute, two week volunteering for charity then a holiday

That's why its called the "Guess Bar" :lol1:

I'd have to be seriously, and I mean seriously pissed/stoned to even consider it.

I thought that I was quite open minded, but actually, when it comes to the crunch...turns out I'm not. :o

Germany is a great country to visit. But given a month I would go to Australia

stevebt 07 March 2015 09:28 PM
