new turbo, testrun, do i dare??

Hi, just changed my turbo from a vf28 to a mdx555-400.

And im Wondering if i can do a test run and if i can put some boost on the turbo before its remaped? or if i can do a testrun whitout boost?

Thanks

Hi there

Personally I would stay off the boost until car is mapped for this turbo, but maybe wastegate pressure should be OK,but hard to say,I would rather have car mapped and then push the car,its not worth it to try for seconds/minutes and then have damaged engine, but is yours car and if you want to do that, then do that, but I wouldn't

Hope this helps

Thanks,Jura

Okey thats my idea to! Just going for a test run and check for lekage but i wont put any boost at all on the turbo until its remaped,

Does anyone have a good tip fo a pnp 3port boost solenoid For a classic type r v6?

Doesn't the classic come with a 3 port boost solenoid already?

re boost, i'd also stay off it as much as possible... the 555 is a fair bit bigger than the vf28, so will shift quite a bit more air at the same boost pressure.
