Yep can't disagree there. Samsung have dropped a clanger with taking out sd card support and removable battery, 2 of their selling points. Will be interesting to see if they copy that through to the Note 5 in October.

For example the battery diminished substantially on my S3 and a new battery made it like new as it should do. All manufacturers should make the battery replaceable as it is a consumable part in any device so by leaving off that feature they are just making their customers have to buy a whole new phone when the battery dies which it will do eventually.

The S5 bombed based on sales figures and this could well do as well by dropping two important features to android customers.

I posted it because it's amazing, amazing how they get away with it. Samsung Pay... really!

Don't worry about the battery, honestly who carries a spare and replacing iPhone batteries is easy, no doubt that part is copied by Samsung too. They have a 128gb model - like the iPhone - if you're carrying around more than that you're doing it wrong.

Replacing an iphone battery is not easy nor is it on any other manufacturer who uses hard soldered batteries in it's phones. It should be a case of clipping off the back of the phone without the need for any special tools and popping out the old battery and putting in the new one. No special tools or soldering should be required from any manufacturer to replace a battery.

S6 edge looks awesome, storage starting at 32GB not a what is now tiny 16GB, a rear 16mp f1.9 camera with O.I.S. and 5mp front, 8 core processor, Gorilla Glass 4, 5.1" super amoled quad HD screen, wireless charging, Samsung Pay with Loop Pay meaning it's can be used in over 10million outlets, 2600mAh battery, slick thin bezels, all within the size of an iPhone 6 and features none of which you will find on an iPhone 6. It will also retail at a lower price too, great device and great value! :D

No sd card and no changeable battery, i think apple will be laugbing now as this will only help their sales.

I didn't know the Samsung was hard soldered, the iPhones not. I have never changed a battery but if I kept a device over 3 years I might consider it. Right now I carry a spare battery that charges my phone and other things.

I doubt it, I honestly don't see a problem, buy big and/or use the cloud and buy a battery that charges other devices too, I have an Anker thing that will charge my phone 4 times.

I presumed if a phone doesn't have a changeable battery compartment then it is hard soldered. I don't know if the S6 will be or not as previously all models had a removable battery.

Had the Sony Z3 for a few weeks now and I'm seriously impressed by the battery life and the screen destroys anything I've seen in the past 12 months, and they've addressed the poor in call sound quality over the Z1 plus it's expanadable via sd micro to 128gb.

The build quality goes without saying, I cant believe it doesn't get more publicity tbh

For most of us all these top end mobiles do pretty much the same job and first and foremost we want a good battery and a great screen.

Bought the huawei honor 6 as a cheap back up while my LG G2 was away for a warranty repair, the G2 is a fantastic phone, incredible battery life and spec, but I've ended up keeping the huawei and selling the G2. The honor 6 is £250 (although I picked it up for £150), it has an amazing display, the software is very good and the battery is almost as good as the G2. With 3gb of ram there's not much quicker for sale just now.

Samsung and Apple need to take note, there's a number of very capable android phones appearing around the £200 mark, this will be the real growth market in the next few years - there always been cheaper phones available, but the quality and spec of these cheaper phones will be making folk question why they should be forking out £600 for a new phone.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

The Samsung S6 takes it's design cue from it's Ativ S phone (released 2012) with its rounded sides and the way screen gently curves to blend into the edges. Looks fantastic, so much so that Apple copied it for their iPhone 6!!

It's early days, but benchmarks for the S6 just blows the iPhones and everything else away! :D

The S6 edge looks gorgeous, but the lack of an external SD card is very disappointing for me, seeing as you have to pay a premium for a 64GB or 128GB model ala Apple. The replacement batt thing is of no concern as the S5 batt life is excellent and the S6's is allegedly 35% better as Samsung are using their own 14nm CPU now. However a better screen will pull more power though and its only a 2600mah batt and not a 2800mah one as in the S5, so not sure on those claims yet. Fast charging in 10mins for 4hours batt life sounds good though :thumb:

Would like to see how the S6 stacks up against the Note 4 performance wise.

So let's get this straight. Apple produce a line of very distinctive phones, stating along the way that big phones aren't the way to go. They then produce the iPhone 6 which looks like a big Android handset, then Samsung produce an evolution of stuff they already have, and you say they are copying? :cuckoo:

All that said, I am disappointed in the S6, but certainly not because it's an iPhone 6 copy!
