Hawkeyes Sidelight Problem
Hi everyone,
Both of my sidelights have gone, and the headlight auto adjuster orange light has come on. I came to change the sidelights, but when I got to the existing ones, there seems to be no way of getting the bulb out of the bulb holder. http://postimg.org/image/b9b0bl03z/ Do I have to change the bulb holder itself? Many Thanks, Adam |
Can't comment on the auto-adjuster, but it seems to be a common design fault...the adjusters are prone to water/dirt ingress and fail:( They aren't cheap either.
As for bulbs, can you post a pic? Get it hosted on something like Photobucket, then post the url into the box that opens when you click image. |
The sidelight bulbs Slide into the holder. They should just pull out.

That's what I thought?

Hi there,
Thanks for your replies. That's what I had thought too, but it looks like this bulb is soldered into the bulb holder! Attachment 74236 Many Thanks, Adam |
That's not the sidelight bulb - looks more like the dipped beam bulb ^^
If you're changing the dipped beam then bulb and holder are one item ... HB3 (if I remember correctly). |
As above, that's a halogen HB3. It comes complete with bulb holder.

Hi there,
I just checked and they were my full beam bulbs! I didn't see the sidelight bulbs hidden at the top there. Thanks very much for your help. All sorted. Many Thanks, Adam |
