Forged 2.5 prices?

I have a friend with a low mileage (56k) sped D that has suffered the dreaded cracked liner/block so hes looking to go forged on it.

The car is currently running standard apart from a decat exhaust and map to around mid 300's, and isnt going to be going over this, he just wants the strength/reliability.

Ideally wants a long block so we can just bolt the inlet/headers etc onto it + a new cambelt kit that he's already bought then put it in the car and have it map checked/tweeked.

Thing is, we dont have any idea of what it'll cost. He's in 2 minds wether to just put another used 2.5 in it or to forge and I think the latter as I think he'll always be worried about it happening again if its standard.

We are more than capable of doing an engine swap and cambelt, so just need prices on a long block. Dont think he trusts his current block and heads to be reused hence the long block.

Any advice would be appreciated either by post or pm. We are in the midland so would obviously prefer someone around the area (notts/lincs/leics etc)

Incidentally, did his Spec D have a PPP? There aren't many Spec D's with PPP that have lived through 50k.
Incidentally, go forged - the Spec D is a great car and getting rarer so better safe than sorry.

I'm game to put the heebeegeebees on mine! Mines on 61k miles PPP, although it has since been mapped by BobR so should be running safely enough as nothing was flagged up on either of his mapping sessions.
