Is it the same ecu?

ossett2k2 21 February 2015 07:30 PM

Both 3 plug and the 97-98 pin outs are the same so I don't see why not,I guess the only way to tell is plug it in and give it a go :thumb:

That was my thinking Ossett2k2

The v4 ecu is a 75 I have nt checked yet as car is at my work.

If it's the same ecu then yes will be fine, if it's not then no, could cause damage to engine.

Also the v4 and v5 have immobilisers that control the ecu, so when you swap ecu's it doesn't work, saying that if yours is an import it may differ.

Just an update swapped ecu over all is good bar a 23 error code whic is the maf sensor which I did think was at fault as well.

Interestingly when i swapped my ECU over it was a Y7 to a PPP the Maff sensor went faulty, although it didn't show signs of deteriorating pre swap so I guess its something to watch out for in future.

Swapped over to.v3 maf sensor as well and all is fine
