has anybody ever been fined for not doing this ontime ?

I need to do mine as we speak :)

girlfriend needed to do hers this time 2 weeks ago :rolleyes:


and now has to drive client around

I was about 14 months late renewing mine last year and had no issue.


Sent it off and it was back within a couple of weeks.

Another rip off Labour scam.

And a lot of people seemed to have fallen for it.

I still use my old torn green and pink one

Ha ha so do I, seems to confuse some people and places

I turned up to a driver awareness course with an out of date picture licence a couple of years ago

I'm a little late with mine as I still don't have a photo license, mine is still a paper one and its had my wrong address for 15 years :D

Yes, basically - the guy just said get it sorted

I just renewed mine over a year late, U can do it all online now without sending pictures as they use your latest passport photo.

Thankfully the situation was averted in that someone else was found for the job, without her having to reveal

I think it may have come to this because she ls in process of naturalisation, and is waiting for THE letter

In theory it's a £1000 pound fine But nothing was said when I was pulled over at a visa checkpoint when mine was out of date.
The only reason I renewed mine was because work was moaning that I needed an up to date licence.

I've never been fined for not having a photo on my licence on time. However, my complain is that everyone looks like a criminal on their photocard licences. Like the ones taken before putting you inside. Passport photos are even worse! You are not even allowed to smile anymore for your passport pic. Terrible!

Oh, right.

I look like Ozzy Osbourne on mine, it's so fvvking awful. Passport one is just so unflattering that I don't want to travel abroad anymore.

My photo was due for renewal October 2013 and still not got round to it. Better get on with it as plan to hire car in Europe this year.

Big hair, no neck, hunched and mad eyes? :p
