Engine Check Warning Light

Hi, I have just completed 520 mile round trip over a few days. The car has been fine coasting down the motorway at a steady 75 - 80. I pulled up at the services for a few minutes and then got on my way again. As I rejoined the motorway and started to speed up the car was hesitant as though it was missing or fuel starvation for a few seconds then it cleared and ran fine. Later on the engine check light cam on but with no differance in performance to the car. I gradually slowed down to about 50 and carried on for a mile or two, the engine check light went out and I resumed my journey traveling again at 75 - 80.
This hapenned several times on both directions on my journey. I have done quite a few miles locally with no problems. Any ideas......
My car is a '99 UK 2000 turbo wagon. :wonder:

Fault codes are below for you

On that year of car it is most likely to be code 23 MAF. As they are weak
If it is the MAF - They did three versions of MY99/00 MAF
You want to look for this manufacturer part number C36-700 R92 in white down the side. Which denotes it is the third and final version and better than the first two.

I have a classic and I used to get this happening to me regularly. It hasn't happened in ages now and I have been replacing the MAF every couple of years (the car doesn't do many miles a year) so the MAF could well be the issue. I buy mine from ICP.
