Cheers Chris |
for dark paint
id go for the meguires new dark wax , there range is pretty good and u wont go far wrong with that.
|
Poorboys polish with carnauba followed by chemical guys wet mirror finish then chemical guys petes 53 wax........will look gorgeous
|
Blackhole is a glaze and will fill minor swirls. It gives a nice finish. Top with a decent wax and you're good to go.
Strictly speaking you'd be better off correcting the paint instead of hiding defects but each to their own. |
Thanks guys, funny you should say that bodski as I text my mate last night to see if he was free to detail it so it's getting done early next month. When you mentioned a good wax, what would you recommend?

On a black car I'd personally go down the Blackfire Midnight Sun if you're looking for a wax. If not and if you're willing to try a sealant not a wax then Sonax Polymer Netshield looks stunning on black

Cheers lads :)

Bodski, what's your opinion on getting engine bays steam cleaned?

Ideally you'd want to protect all the plastic parts afterwards with something like 303 aerospace protectant |
Cool mate thanks, disconnect the battery or not?
|
Also, so you use anything special on windows (exterior)
|
No need to disconnect the battery. Some leave the engine running but if I'm using steam I don't bother personally. If I was using a pressure washer I would.
Gtechniq G1 on all windows and windscreen (3 coats on windscreen 1 on windows) |
Thanks again mate
