Best Rally School

Hey Everyone,

I'd like to try one of the full day rally courses but there's so many to choose from. Does anyone have any advice on which they think is the best? I've looked at the Higgins one and that sounds pretty good so far. Let me know what you all think!

Thanks.

I found myself in a similar position a couple of years ago and went for the Higgins rally school, purely because it was the only one I could find that actually used something like a 'proper' forest rally stage.

Have to say it was a hell of an experience, you spend the morning doing a few laps of the short course and practicing hand brake turns round a hair pin. Then in the afternoon you go out on to the long course, which includes a run out of the forest on to the hill side with a steep drop on one side (just as you thought you were concentrating, that really focuses your mind). Then the rest of the afternoon is spent doing a competition on 2 stages from the short course and a lap with the instructor driving.

It's a really good day and I'd highly reccomend it, really gives you a feel for what stage rallying is all about (especially if you go for the mk2 escort). Also if you're not local, the Cambrian House B&B is a real nice place to stay and it's the base Higgins use to meet at in the morning.

I went to one up north somewhere near York I think, was a long time ago, I think it was called the British Rally School,(or something similar) was a good day with a forest section and lots of in car time with only 2 people per car, towards the end of the day it was a bit Oh no not again can I go home now please :lol1: really enjoyed it and learnt a hell of a lot, they also used Subarus at the time which was why I chose them as I'd just bought my STI Type R, so almost 9yrs ago. how time flies. :(

If they're still going definitely worth a look.

The best experience day available for rally school.

I've actually done two full days here now and utterly love it.
