An embarrasingly simple question or two

Hi Everyone,

This may sound a real stupid question, but other than seeing the lights on, and dash illumination how do you know they are on?

I also seemed to have turned on the illumination for pre warmed headlights or some such pap. Should that be on all the time ?

Regards

Stu

If you can see they are on what more do you need?

Confused?.

I think hes trying to say theres no light on the dash to say your headlights are on, as in the blue light for full beam. Some cars have a green light for dipped beam.

do you mean the wee switch on the steering column? All that does is leave the sidelights on even when you take out the key. Best to leave that off unless your parked on the road in poor conditions and want to let other cars know your there.

So that's what that's for.

I thought it was the switch for the flux capacitor, and never dare touch it!

Getting out the drivers door and walking to the front of the car would be an additional way of seeing if the lights are on also
