Does any one know the number and colour of the O2 signal wire from the ECU , The Pin out , I believe is the technical term ?

I need it for my AFR gauge , as I want to install the wire inside the car as opposed to the lamba itself.

thanks

If all your ECU Connectors are Yellow then it's probably the same as all the Pre97 ECU Pin outs.

The Lambda is the 4th wire from the bottom (with the ECU still installed) and on the Top row. It should be white with silver rings. The 1st and 5th connections are unused, so the 4th wire is in location 6.

This translates to B43 Pin 6 (see below)

Thats the wrong ecu diagram for the STi3, that one is for the MY92-96 cars only. You have no email address in your profile but if you mail me at mine (see profile) I have the correct ecu diagram and can send it to you.

cheers

Isn't an STi 3 a Pre97, as it is the older style....

Smiler1 05 June 2002 11:51 AM

You could take a look at this
http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=71258

Although with what Bob said it may not be totally accurate – but I am with Scott I thought they were all the same for pre 97 cars.

Cheers
S :)

STi 3 is MY97 ... ecu pinouts are totally different to the MY92-96 shown diagram above. Only three connectors.

Bob,

Would have an ECU diagram for a MY97 UK turbo? (3 yellow connectors)

If you have then could you e-mail it to me please.

If not then don't worry.

Thanks

anyone ?

Lumby,

You could try a continuity test. Get a volt meter with two probes (dont have to be long). connect one to the sensor output wire in the connector in the engine bay & then just lightly to the wire in the connector at the ECU. The meter should tell you whether thats the wire or not! All you're basically trying to do is check if its the same wire through to the ECU or not.

Johny.

Edited to be a bit more descriptive - headache due to hangove != descriptive.

No. Ver 3 and ver 5 cars have very different ECU pin outs. ECU pin out compatibility goes like this:

95-96 (ver 1-2)
97-98 (ver 3-4)
99-00 (ver 5-6)
01-02 (ver 7-8) to carry on the number convention.
For GC/GF8 engines WRX and STi of the same model year share
the same pin outs. Come New Age (01-02) this may differ in that the WRX NA's arent equipped with Variable Valve Timing while the STi's are.

You are after the same ecu pin out as the ver 4 WRX/STi and the Oxygen sensor wires are on plug #B136 Pins 5 for signal, 13 ground.

As a bonus, for those who are looking to fit a Fuel Cut Defencer to their Ver 3/4 car, the FCD needs to be wired to pin labeled MAP Sensor. You'll need to get the IN and OUT on the FCD wire correct though. The order does matter.
