US Police release graphic footage...

...of the killing of a fleeing suspect. Do you think the idea of these body-cams is good or bad?

NSFW video, not massively graphic but it please don't watch if you are squeamish.

Prude gap

live by the gun..............die by the gun................**** him

ditchmyster 28 January 2015 05:11 PM

Carry a gun, there's a distinct possibility that you're going to be involved in a shooting. :freak3:

The Dogs B******s 28 January 2015 05:14 PM

Can't blame the copper for shooting.

Blue by You 28 January 2015 05:15 PM

Yep if you toss the dice you don't always have control of how it falls.
What made me chuckle was the guy arguing with the cop. The cop is fizzing and now running on neat adrenalin and is holding a loaded gun. And a do-gooder is arguing with him about the condition of the suspect. :cuckoo:
My advice - RUN AWAY!

Raptorman 28 January 2015 05:16 PM

Watched it but without volume so don't know what was
said but I am guessing lying dead in a ditch is probably
where the guy was going to end up anyway.

a grenade launcher would have been better................more splatter effect

Dingdongler 28 January 2015 06:48 PM

Did the perp reach for his gun? If not I can't understand the need to shoot a fleeing 'suspect' dead:confused:

Loaded and c0cked.
Tbh if I had a 9mm and someone pulled a bb gun on me......I'd shoot.
Suppose he could of shot him in the legs , but why risk him returning a fatal lucky shot
Fooook him

Think the cop said he (the scrote) dropped the gun and went to pick it up.

One more piece of ****e off the planet....

PaulC72 28 January 2015 07:19 PM

You can't outrun bullets.

Another waste of space gone.

Baah, I'd have dropped him in one. :D

Kwik 28 January 2015 07:54 PM

The reason I posted this is because it's on video it's a little more clear cut than if it were a written report.
I mean the facts are even with the video...

Nobody saw the gun until he was dead
His back was turned when the cop opened fire
If there wasn't a video it could be said the gun was planted, as it still wasn't seen by the mob behind who were shouting 'he doesn't have a gun'

scoobyland 28 January 2015 08:42 PM

Very much like the cops in GTA V.

Rather uncharacteristic of Scoobynet to miss the point of a post :lol1::brickwall

chrisowe 28 January 2015 09:36 PM

I think the fact that his trousers were half way down his @rse prevented him from running away quicker. Just Saying.

It might not sit well with our idea of what good policing is about, but behaving that erratically when a cop in the US is trying to pat you down is a sure way of getting shot and always has been. Everyone from the most minor street-level hustler to the don of dons will know this, and I'm sure the guy in the video was no exception.

hodgy0_2 28 January 2015 11:38 PM

Sure, he ran he got shot - I am sure he was no choir boy

Why make a joke about

scoobyland 28 January 2015 11:43 PM

More police brutality in the US of A.

He ran, after either pulling a gun (at waist height, below the viewing level of the camera), or realizing the cop had found his gun while patting him down.

You're right though, it very likely wasn't Muskogee PD's intention in issuing their officers body-cams to provide comedic entertainment for the unwashed masses of Youtube viewers.

Carnut 28 January 2015 11:53 PM

Dropped the gun and after picking it up he continued to run away until he was shot in the back.
You carry guns though and run from the police then this kind of thing will happen.
Difficult for some police in some parts of the US, probably had a few colleagues shot.

Kwik, yes, body cams for police a good idea IMO.

Torquemada 29 January 2015 01:34 AM

I do not argue with anyone on the street in Texas, let alone a cop!

r33gts2009 29 January 2015 07:59 AM

American constitution states they have a right to bare arms , weather or not it was legally carried , who knows ..
You could of seen someone who was nervous for whatever reason run away and drop his property retrieve it an was shot in the back, although the weapon was cocked.

Just saying.

11 hours and 11 posts later and still no body has actually addressed the question raised by the OP. Wonder how long Scoobynets hatred of the police/'scum' can keep this going. :wonder:
