Sump removal

Can anyone confirm that you can remove the sump on a 2007 spec C in situ (with standard equal length manifolds).

I have seen info which shows it can be done with the engine raised (looks a bit crappy to do) but not sure what variant of Impreza this was on.

Thanks.

Am pretty sure all of them need the engine raised, as the crossmember prevents access to the bolts at the rear of the sump.

Not sure on the new age but its damn tight on a classic. Theres a you tube "how to" where a guy fits a killer B pick up in situ. I bought flexi extensions and planned to use 1/4" sockets. In the end I decided I didn't want to compromise the gasket seal so I pulled the engine.

on the classics its a bit of bitch, need to raise engine and use flexi drive
