Clive's Performance know their stuff!

Well, clearly they don't.

They have advertised this car as a Spec C Type RA, on me pointing out to them it is just in fact a Spec C they politely informed me that "all Spec C's are RA's".

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...-miles/3315064

If anybody's thinking of looking at this car, it's a £12-13k car not a £17k one.

ditchmyster 27 January 2015 06:34 AM

Personally I think you've got some cheek suggesting that such a prestigious well respected dealer has got it wrong. :Suspiciou

The Pink Ninja 27 January 2015 06:36 AM

It may have been a few years ago...that's a £15k car now IMO, my blob is around that price...but I agree with you about the RA...there was another well know importer selling MY03's as Spec-c RA's too!!

salsa-king 27 January 2015 06:52 AM

what's the difference between a Spec C and a Spec C RA?

Different badging, different wheels, different colour centre console, a whole host of suspension upgrades, less made. A lot more on top.

jazzyjembreaze 27 January 2015 07:56 AM

Just pop the boot , no floor brace Mr , your false advertising

thenewgalaxy 27 January 2015 10:41 AM

Both versions are lightweight, more focussed versions of the STI, better equipped to deal with hard driving.

The Spec C to drive is rawer than the regular STI and feels more wired.

The RA takes it further and sounds like a skeleton wanking in a biscuit tin in the cabin above about 50mph.

I think it's very disappointing that we never officially saw Spec C cars in the UK.

Careful, they will sue you! I guarantee that they will threaten legal action unless you remove the post! Please please please post the message they send if they do!

huzzy1 27 January 2015 11:58 AM

They've just emailed me a question on what is the difference between a Spec C and a RA, I've sent them a link to this thread.

You are right, although I've had both, I think the 22B I had inbetween was the rawest of the 3.

fat-thomas 27 January 2015 12:04 PM

We all know they are con men,
if you spend 15k on an Impreza you should know what you are buying,if you get duped by these lying clowns it's your own fault.

MattyB1983 27 January 2015 12:12 PM

How long until the mods get worried about being sued and the thread gets wiped......???

I don't see a problem,it's factual and proves they are liars.

huzzy1 27 January 2015 12:18 PM

I don't think they are liars, just not knowledgeable.

MattyB1983 27 January 2015 12:30 PM

Surely a garage selling such cars and the amount of cars they sell should be researching the actual cars before advertising them.
I wouldn't want to part with a large sum of money if the person I was buying it from didn't really know what he was selling.

What's the difference?

They are selling cars for a living. Isn't it their responsibility to know what they are selling?

And yes, they are liars and has been proven several times on here recently.

The Pink Ninja 27 January 2015 12:46 PM

The Spec-c and Spec-c RA both use the same applied model code, but plenty of differences between the two, easy way to spot it is pink lateral arms, pink trailing arms, pink springs etc...

huzzy1 27 January 2015 01:32 PM

They are going to amend the advert, wonder if they amend the price?

Markfey 27 January 2015 01:48 PM

"A skeleton wanking in a biscuit tin' made me laugh my ass off :)

Just remember that Clives Performance ARE Liars, based on Angels thread (which they have now silenced - think a little under the table exchange of pound notes happened) where they bought back a car they fraudulently sold to him, and then readvertised it as the car they know it was'nt.

**jay** 27 January 2015 04:04 PM

Advert amended but price still ott lol

Says all you need to know about the company.

Zuber 27 January 2015 04:39 PM

They still mention Ra in advert and that price is a joke! These are obviously a bunch of clowns trying to rip the unwary off,,,

as said earlier, if you are after a 15k impreza you should know what you are looking for.

you cant blame them for trying it on there are plenty of thick impreza owners out there just join sioc and see.

Zuber 27 January 2015 04:48 PM

I know you like a bit of banter Fat Thomas, but not everyone is clued up on all the different Subaru marques. So does that mean someone who buys this off them deserves to be ripped off because there not clued up enough, really sad way at looking at things!!
