Colin McRae Weekender Event

There has now been announced the second Colin McRae Weekender Event, myself, Ian and Glenn attended the first event and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Details are in the link below, it's well worth doing as the drive around North Wales is something not to be missed with literally hundreds of other Impreza's.

It's probably the best car orientated weekend I have been on.

The drive round the Evo Triangle, Snowdonia and Ynys Mon is brilliant, and if they get the Orme closed for us again it would be an excellent coup.

Not to be missed.

Ian, you've talked me into mate!
Fingers crossed I get the time off :thumb:

I have booked the Friday to Monday off from work, given the distance I think it would be a good idea to depart on the Friday afternoon and take a leisurely drive up there and get ourselves pre-booked into a local hotel / Premier Inn etc for the Friday and Saturday evenings. :)

If there's hotels involved then I'm sure Alisa will come along as well.

andyleonard55 07 January 2015 08:31 PM

Try keeping me and Chris away from this one, looking forward to this, any details ect would be appreciated so we can pre book the hotel, I would imagine the local hotels might get very busy so if you snooze you lose.

The Trooper 1815 07 January 2015 08:43 PM

Book along the A55 between Wrexham and Llandudno and you will be fine. I'll probably stay at my daughters on the Friday and meet you there..

IggyRB320 09 January 2015 01:27 PM

Noted above, cheers Trooper.

Does anyone know the itinerary or schedule for this & then the best place to stay over on the Saturday?

The Sheep Worrier 09 January 2015 01:40 PM

Would love to do this but can't commit atm, a few stag do's abroad, best man duty in may in Cyprus, amongst my own stag do(s) and wedding at the end of the year, it's gonna be an expensive and busy one! Oh and the small matter of me little lad to take into account aswell!
Will see how thing's go

STI Glenn 11 January 2015 01:19 PM

Fantastic weekend last time ,would love to go but sure about it

The Trooper 1815 15 January 2015 08:42 AM

Looks like a bit of camping for me and Jo on the Saturday night at the site.

I know Big D and Matt (who loves a big pink inflatable) are fans of a night under the canvas and wondered if anyone else is interested? The option for discounted pitches was offered last time, there is a pub etc on site and it saves having to get taxi's about the place if your hotel is a bit remote.

Looking at taking my club to this event. Looks great! Is there camping available?
Cheers
Dan

Yes Dan. There is a proper caravan and camping site at the venue. All the usual facilities.
