Sigma alarm help please

Help,

I've left my blob donor car laid up for about 4 months with no battery connected. I'm now at the stage where i'm ready to use it and thought i'd fire it up but it seems the car has immobilised itself permanently. I've had this car 3 years and its always started on the button. On connecting the battery the siren makes lts of beeps and keep gong off every 30 seconds or so.
They key has no effect on turning it off and i have never had the pin for the key pad. All dash lights up & you can hear the fuel pump prime but no click from immobiliser.

From what i understand it may be the back up battery in the siren thats had it? or fob battery?

Either way, i don't need these parts when the loom and running gear go into my track car. So question is, how difficult are these to remove? I've not stripped the dash out yet but i'm guessing there is a 'main control box' somewhere under the dash?

Useful replies via pm welcome as this is an open forum. :thumb:

Check your car battery has a good charge - this is what they do when the battery is flat

Yeah my battery was low and had to jump it it did this , took battery off and fully charged it was fine

Fresh battery already tried, also connected jump pack to make sure, it made no difference.

Got the code hidden in any paper work ?

scoobyskool 03 January 2015 07:36 PM

If you do get it going prog a code in so you at least have that - dont need a code to do that as long as you have a working key

taylor85 03 January 2015 07:40 PM

You might be able to get a auto spark to remove it for a few quid

super_ted 03 January 2015 07:41 PM

The code never came with the car unfortunately.
I'm fairly sure the key is working as it still locks and unlocks the doors remotely. I did plan on removing it anyway when i slim down the loom but it's just bad timing as i didn't want to get involved with that bit yet.
Dam cars.

There are some over riding codes I seen on Google

I may have to go this route in the worst case. I've not really looked at it in great depth yet as weather is crap. I located siren and wrapped it in a rag to stop it hurting my ears, played around with the key a little more then gave up and removed battery again. It instantly stops on battery removal so guessing its back up is completely dead.

Feel free to pm them mate.

Just skim read your build thread - awesome work btw

Yup the override code is freely available ,, doesnt help your problem right now though as it only works when all is working correctly but if/when this hurdle passed its very easy to do and literally takes two minutes

Was going to say try another battery but after reading your build thread id guess you know a charged battery from a dead one so ill pass on that advice in the hope that someone more knowledgeable will be along to help very soon

Small edit - double treble check all connections and earths etc as the issue you are having is identical to when my gf left interior light on in mine for a few days and ran the battery down ,, i tried intellicharger but as soon as it gave juice to car battery it sounded the alarm over and over and would not switch off on key

Banged a fresh battery in and all was well - if yours has been sitting a while possibly a bad contact or earth might give similar issues i guess

Try dealer for code ? Or scorpion who now own sigma

super_ted 03 January 2015 09:12 PM

Thanks for all your help so far guys, i appreciate it. I'll take another look tomorrow and report back. Cheers.

jacob360 03 January 2015 09:21 PM

Mine was fitted after and fitted poorly at that so the guy who did the work cut it out and then stuck some new wiring in to make the correct circuits, was told that these alarm systems are very out dated now anyway

super_ted 06 January 2015 07:16 PM

Little update,

Have replaced battery in the key & the back up in the siren & still no luck.

Dealer would like to charge me for the code & i need to go to them with proof of ownership etc but its a bit of a trek & still no guarantee it will work so i'm going to just remove it completely.

I've found the main unit under the dash. To help me save some time & get my donor car back in the workshop where its warm - Does anyone have the wiring diagram for this sigma m30?

Any help appreciated.
