i got the best present ever which is my mum who is dying of cancer actually made it to christmas day even when told by doctors it was a very slim chance she would manage it

Merry Christmas, everyone!

The best gift Santa brought for us was a week before Christmas when our daughter went for her very first ever interview and got offered the job. Other gift was that my mother in-law had her successful radical hysterectomy on 18th despite the risks due to her blood disorder and diabetes. She has had to stay in the hospital on the Christmas Day as they need to make sure her haemoglobin count is satisfactory before she's discharged. But she's improving well, so all good.
