VF48 Turbocharger

I am offering up for sale my VF48 turbocharger which has just been removed from my Hatchback STi.

The unit has been checked and there is no impellor shaft play, as you can see from the pics below there are no tell tale impact markings to the inlet housing which would be evident if the shaft was out of balance.

There is the normal crack in the wastegate housing but this is totally normal for one of these VF48 turbochargers, this has not cracked all the way through and does not effect the performance or efficiency.

The turbocharger will come with the relevant coolant and oil lines ready for installation and should be a straightforward fitment to any single scroll Subaru engine.

I am looking for £295 including tracked and insured delivery to the mainland UK, I can post outside this area if you pay the extra charge subject to agreement.

The price includes any PayPal fees so I won't ask you to pay as a gift or to add 4.5% to the final sale price. :)

I'm not sure if it's the original turbocharger or not, I suspect not but I cannot say with absolute confidence one way or the other.

What I can say is that it performed well on the car before it was removed, there is no play in the impellor shaft and the car has a full Subaru service history.

Under my short ownership so far I always let the engine warm up before putting the turbocharger under any stress plus I always coast off boost before stopping the engine.

I am confident of the turbocharger being in good working condition and being able to perform to it's full ability. :)

Not at all, there are plenty of 2.0 engines using this turbocharger and getting good figures when used with supporting modifications, your car being an STi would already have these in place already. :thumb:
