7.5 does seem on the expensive side tho. |
ok agree 2.5 is low. 3.5-5 yeah, 7.5 not a chance.
|
In fairness if it's a gem, 7.5 mightn't not be all that far off, once someone's messed around and chipped the price down a bit, like they do. I guess he might not be desperate to get rid
|
they are a nice spec, rare car but so is the wrx ra, sti v1, 555 and v-limited and they are still knocking about sub 3.5 in average condition. so long as you get one with good arches it can make a nice car.
I could see someone paying 5 for a nice sti ra but IMO 7.5 is too strong, especially on the original engine. |
If I was in the market to change my Evo for a different car instead of selling to buy another house I'd happily do a deal on it with James :)
|
Nice lookin motor just a bit steep for me .....
|
arch repairs would put me off.
|
|
This is the one
https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...-for-sale.html Very tidy but Does seem over priced tho |
We're finaly getting to the stage were decent classics are going up in value! If you want a clean decent example I'm afraid boys and girls your going to have to dig deep! Hence why a new trend appearing in Japan is to make the gc8 o.e as poss and clean

Good to see we are talking the price down on our own cars again |

It's worth every penny of 7.5K |
there was a guy on here trying to shift a really tidy v1 wrx in nice standard condition for sub 1500 and it struggled to go.
im not talking them down, petrol prices, insurance and the chav image are still doing that at the moment. they really need to be a second car now, mine is. |
Has no-one seen that it has meth injection as standard?
Apparently it was a factory option!! |
The most expensive pre 96' STI RA I've ever seen advertised, by far. If it was concours-ish i do not think anyone would batter an eyelid at the price but it does look at fair way off that kind of condition.
|
I think it's alright people on here saying "oh it's only worth this" or "it's only worth that" but at the end of the day there are not many of these about, especially unmolested and clean examples at that.
Prices of these are on the up, it cannot be disputed. This car will have accumulated countless thousands of pounds in its lifetime, especially to remain in this condition. That investment in itself should be reflected in the price, but often isn't. Rare does not necessarily mean high price, but owners of these cars are going to have to start putting a value to these cars otherwise they're doing nothing but underselling themselves. Buyers will have to start appreciating that soon as people will just hold onto them if they're not worth selling. |

Apparently it was a factory option!! yes, from what ive read injector was only added for homologation and is not controllable with the ecu in standard form. I,e its redundant. |

As less cars become available (and we are starting to see this now) then it will become a case of supply and demand. So for example, if there are 10 cars up for sale and 20 people want one, then the price goes up. You only have to look at the Japanese auction Hammer prices lately for good clean examples to see what is happening whether we like it or not :thumb: |
Nice to see it's as friendly as ever on here :) to those questioning the price, find another on the market to compare it to.. That is all.
Cheers for the supporters you know who you are. |

so its not as original and unmolested as people on here seem think.
As said, if it was standard and original it would command a decent price but it seems to be lowered considerably + been played with engine wise. |

Didn't realise you were a mod on here..
My price is based on the fact I cannot find one other for sale anywhere else, and the last one sold went to Canada with granted much lower miles, but for £12,000. |
