2003 WRX ecu pinout required

As per title, I have searched high and low, I have pin outs of various models none of which match my car exactly. Pin positions and colours vary slightly.
Perhaps someone would be kind enough to point me in the direction of the correct 2003 WRX ecu pin out diag? Thanks

Did you have a look on the Ken Gilbert website?

Well...did you? They are linked-to from the technical topics archive of Scoobynet and do provide the wiring diagram for your car.

The newage manuals do not have a neat ECU pinout list unlike the classics so you will need to do some work to get the list in the form you want.

Struggling to find it

TimH 14 December 2014 10:26 PM

Go to the technical topics archive...find the sticky (2nd one down)...first post, near the bottom, has a link to the Ken Gilbert pages...follow link...find reference to either bugeye (wiring is the same) or '04 manuals (also the same, but not followed the link to check)...job done.

I have bugeye pinout at home, I used it when I cut my loom and spliced in my piggy back, it's not the same, most of the colours are the same and nearly all of the wire positions are different. It helped me, but wasn't correct for my car.

TimH 15 December 2014 09:58 AM

Well...that's odd...I make looms for every year of Impreza and the *pinout* of 2001-2005 are identical for WRX, STi, JDM or EUDM (not USDM) apart from whether TGV and/or AVCS are fitted, plus minor immobiliser-related differences between EU and JDM.

Wire colours may well vary, but the ECU pinout does not. At least, I've not yet come across one that is different!

TimH 15 December 2014 10:00 AM

Oh - and the manual details any differences between the models covered so STi vs. WRX differences are noted on the drawings.

boosted 15 December 2014 10:35 AM

Perhaps it was only usdm drawing I could find, was over a year ago now.
Prehaps you would be kind enough to share the correct drawing thanks

TimH 15 December 2014 10:41 AM

There is no single drawing of the ECU pinout. It's 16 or so pages of engine wiring diagrams that have all the pin numbers for the actuators and sensors for each device as part of the diagrams. Although, if I recall, the first few pages do cover most of the pins in an overall schematic.

So looking through the correct wiring diag (thanks again) I need not worry about a tank vent solenoid? Doesn't seem to have one, just the evap solenoid under the bonnet?
I see a carbon canister under the back by the bumper, is that all the tank vents through? No solenoids to worry about?
Sorry for the trivial questions, but I need to be educated. Thanks
