GeForce 8800GTS code 43 not working?
 

I have a Nvidia geforce 8800gts graphics card and according to device manager it has been stopped as there is a problem (code 43) I have tried updating drivers and rolling back to a earlier driver but no joy.

My monitor is connected to the graphics card and works fine for everything else except gaming which is what I want to use it for.

Any idea's? The PSU was replaced with a 500watt version, would that be a possible cause in that the psu isn't powerful enough?

Its an old graphics card and has probably gotten to its end of life, your psu is more than sufficient to power it, you could see if you can clean it out a little, i take it its one with the fan on and not one without?

Yes, it has a fan.

Guess I will look for a replacement.

Why would it still work going as far as running youtube videos?
