my (TFS RACING) built 2.3

So a little while ago my engine decided let go. Due to injector failure so upon this discovery i contacted (simon roe) JGM on what my options could be and who he would recommend and was immediately advise to contact TFS RACING.

i contacted stu straight away and told him what happend and was asked what i was looking for?? my reply was 500bhp :). And after a few more discussions over the phone and a lot of question's it was decided to go for a 2.1 stroker. So i made the journey to hand over some funds and made a couple of adjustments to the spec of the engine. And a while later on a friday night i loaded up the trailor ready for the exciting trip.

And the following morning we hit the motorway hard eager to get to aldershot. :)

So we dropped of the car to stu and made are journey back home. And after a little wait i recieved some pictures and updates on the engine.

As you can imagine by this point we are getting really excited so made another visit and by this time the spec had changed a little more going from a 2.1 stroker to a 2.3 a replica engine of stu's drag car (over the moon).

So the engine was installed and a base map was put on by JGM limiting it to 4000rpm knowing that temptation would have been to much :D so the running in miles had begun and no more than routhly 200 miles later simon rang stuart up and asked if we had completed the miles yet as he was looking forward to mapping it up fully.

So 1k miles down had the oil change then started the 2nd 1k miles and completed them and stu booked it in to simon and surrey rolling road to go for it.

And the day before i was due to get mapped up by simon i was contacted by stu and made aware simon couldnt make it due to being unwell. So it was decided we would wait untill he was better as he was looking forward to map it.

Unfortunatly this did not happen as simon sadly passed away. R.I.P JGM true legend.

So we booked in duncan and headed over to the rollers on friday just gone. And with a lot of nerves and excitement the car was loaded onto the rollers where it all started to happen. the Car was started and few adjustments made and 1st run came in at 270 odd bhp at 0.6 bar second run a boost pipe decided to blow so immediately stu and craig got to work and started again. Short time later we got some great and also unexpected results :) bearing in mind i am still using a td05 16g turbo untill the new year these are the results

So happy with the results made a astonishing 354.8bhp and 370nm of torqe on a standard turbo :) i do have plans for a sc46 turbo and a few more mods in new year.

But for now i want to thank stuart and craig from (TFS RACING) for all there hard work and outstanding customer satisfaction. I am truly happy and more and would highly reccomend them to anyone. you dont get what you want from these guys they go out of there way to give you that little bit extra and that to me makes all the difference.

So if your thinking of having work done theres no hesitation (TFS RACING)

I hope you enjoy my thread as much as we have enjoyed the journey. Keep an eye on here for following mods and results.

What supporting mods buddy and heads ?
Would've expected peak boost earlier on a 16g tbh.

Should be an animal when it's finished :)

Thanks for the review, may car is going there on Thursday/Friday to have a few goodies added to it and a remap. I've not used them before, but I have heard good reviews about them and this only confirms that :)

Oh and good luck with the car, I hope you get what you want from it! :)

Nothing as exciting as your build! I'm just having a decat up pipe, sports cat, panel filter and fuel pump fitted and then a remap. Fingers crossed all goes well!
