CMC XMAS Tarmac Rally Stages - Pembrey circuit - 28th December
 

This years festive rally is taking place on Sunday 28th Dec.
Last year half a dozen of us enjoyed a superb day out down there.
We traveled there via the Heads Of The Valleys and came back via M4.

The day sure beats the sh#t out of a day at 'the sales', plenty of Impreza's and the usual array of Escorts etc...

Entrance is just £10 per car.

Anyone fancy it and make a convoy....?

lol not that easy when you are waiting on other people , car is off to the bodyshop to have the Jersey crash fixed end of this week , they will have it done in a week , just waiting for the gearbox to come back from a rebuild , it then depends on the mapping of the box , whether there is a problem electronics wise , and how soon that can be fixed

It was so much easier in the day of carbs !

"Christmas Is Not Just For Kids" Rally Run 28th December, Pembrey.

For all the lovers of Club Rallying (or the people that want a break from the Xmas mayhem), I am again arranging a run out & Xmas get together on the 28th December.

"Christmas Is Not Just For Kids" will be at the current 'Home Of Welsh Motorsport - Pembrey Circuit (SA16 0HZ), to enjoy the Xmas Tarmac Stages Rally.

Entry to the Event is just £10 per car. I will post up an entry list but expect a good array of club rallying cars such as classic RWD Escorts, FWD ‘all sorts’, AWD Scoobys/Evo’s/Cossie’s. Ian from Godspeed Brakes is also hoping to be competing in his WRC car:thumb:!

For those that have never been before, the Rally is made up of part tarmac (race circuit) & part broken up airfield surfaces and unlike many rallying events the 'flat and open' layout of the land offers superb viewing of the action (opposed to seeing one corner in a wood etc).

Spectators get great access to close-up viewing, unlike many other Rally’s. See below to get an idea of just how close to the action you will be.

For the old and infirm the relative luxury of toilets & coffee/food are also available!

Travel to the Event will be an early start via Chepstow/Abergavenny/Heads Of The Valleys towards Neath, a quick McD’s breakfast stop, then on to the Rally.
Return will be via M4. If you want to do just a morning then head off early feel free.

Before others start telling me, yes I do realise that the Event takes place in Winter and due to this it does means that you might need to bring suitable clothing to keep you both dry and warm (unless your name is Bry, who will undoubtedly turn up in a T-shirt & shorts).
Yes, it could rain…. Yes, it could be cold…. It could also be one of those gorgeous sunny winters day (like it was last year).

Before others start telling me off, I’m arranging this personally, so it’s not a formal Club Event but more of “a gathering of Subaru & Rallying Enthusiasts”…..like last year!

So, if ya fancy it jot your name down (plus a rough idea where you live so i can look at pick-ups/times etc).

Me and my lad went today,some good action from the Scoobies but I gotta give it to the driver in a yellow BMW he was flat out everywhere!!
