Decat Uppipe Going on a PPP map

Need to replace cat uppipe on a PPP 02 Bug, currently has a cat uppipe and ppp cat downpipe and decat middle pipe, the cat uppipe has a blow so if I put a decat uppipe on am I looking at having to get remap?

Car had ecu done with PPP pack when fitted by dealer in 03 or 04

Not essential to map up-pipe. I ran one for 4 years before getting a map, my car didn't throw a CEL until after the map lol.

Decatting up-pipe should give you spool around 300 rpm earlier and maybe 5bhp extra after a map. I did notice a slight exhaust growl increase after decatting up-pipe at 4,000 rpm.

It may not be essential but its definitely advised to at least get your fueling and boost levels checked after removing a decat up pipe. It may or may not run correctly and more importantly SAFELY so have it checked at least :thumb:

I ran round for a few months in my WRX with a decat uppipe and prodrive sports cat before remapping. Mine threw up a cat below efficiency CEL but the car ran fine. Gives a nice induction noise too.

I had a week on a 200 CEL Sports cat and it threw a couple of CBE CEL's when it was cold.
