Possible knackered wheel bearing?
Last week I changed discs and pads all round for Godspeed grooved disc/Kevlar pad set. Since doing this I get a noise, somewhere between the sound of brakes metal on metal and wheel rubbing the wheel arch, if I go fairly quickly around a right hander, coming from the near side rear.
When I changed the disc it was not necessary to adjust the handbrake shoes on that side, the disc came off easily without doing so. I have taken the wheel off and checked the caliper and pads and all looks well, nothing appears loose. As I have 18's on I put the space saver on and went down the road, to see if it still did it, which it does. Does this sound like bearing failure? |
Could be rear diff but noises are very hard to diagnose as they move along the transmission etc

Would rear diff not make a noise all the time?
This only happens when going around a right hander and doesn't do it at all if going fairly steady. |
Probably would be all the time to be honest, maybe a sticky piston? All surfaces clean when putting new discs on etc?
