Why a sti replica, in what respect are you making it a sti rep.....
|
Want to start with the arches, will cost you more than you think to create a replicater, just enjoy the car now and then buy a sti
|
cost is not a issue im going to respray the whole car anyway and ill do that myself as she is pretty rough replica in the sense of looks. i like the v5 look clean and subtle
are the arches wider or are you refering to the rust .. |

As above mate, you'll end up spending a fortune, but it's your money :D and if that's what makes you happy then good luck to you.:thumb:
Presumably you got it nice and cheap, the arches can be quite a big job though so I'd have a good poke around in the boot before you start, there is a thread on here posted by F1 fan showing just how bad they can be, might be worth a look before you start cutting any metal out.:thumb: |
The arches are indeed a complete pig. I thought I'd cut out and repair the little bubble that was showing on mine and it turned into 3 weekends of serious cutting and welding from the outer arch skin, almost right round the edge of the inner skin, up inside the strut tower, all the way down to the very bottom of the skirt behind the bumper and finally the two corners at the bottom of the boot. I have some photos somewhere, I'll try to get them posted up later.
