It should be a td04L

Stu correct it is a td04L. I called subaru today they have given me the turbo part number 14411AA562 with a price tag of £1166 + vat and they took my registration to confirm this turbo ooouch. There is not much info regarding this part number and I called motoronik today as he is selling refirbed oem turbos on ebay and he couldnt match it on his system with that part number, I`m also waiting for another company to come back to me tomorrow.

I honestly dont know if the below two are in fact exactly them same item as each other
TD04L / HL 13T-6 part number 14412AA501, ej205 58t
TD04L / HL 13T-6 part number 14411AA562, but info I can find states ej205 41t engine for this turbo and with just a simple google search comes up with the wide track wrx / sti

I maybe totally well off track with this but I`m finding this interesting and come across a info packed thread on NASIOC in the states just on td04L and TD04HL turbo`s and tinkering with them well they baffled me but I`m no mechanic hence the lack of understanding but I suppose I`ve got to start somewhere

You can pick these up second hand for as little as fifty quid. Try ebay.

Stu I`m not up for paying subaru dealer prices but I`d rather buy the oem fully refirbed turbo with 12 months peace of mind for £300 + a refundable £80 as on a turbo new for old exchange service only thing is I did want to keep my old one to refirb myself at a later date. I`ve found a few on ebay from china and singapore for around £200 which just seems too cheap plus I see there being reliability issues, I would rather buy from the uk
