hi all, this my 1st post after buying my 2001 wrx sti this week.

I have a vision of what it should look like after a few external mods.

so I decided to start with a pair of original Morette's painted in blue...

now for the problem....

the car I have has a one piece grill (pic to follow)

and I think I need a different type of grill to make it look like this(pic to follow)
I have looked around on this forum but I cant find one to help.

please help!!

thanks

That should fit fine with morrettes usually on the bugeye you just remove the body coloured bits between grill and lights the then morrettes fit

that's it. but is all in one piece.. and if I remove it, I am sure it will you funny. the part run from the headlight along the top of the bumper to the other head light. I will try and get some better pics so its easy to understand.
thanks

No photos showing bud.

You need to get them hosted on the net, somewhere like Photobucket.

Then click on the image link and post in the url of your photo.

STILL NO PICS BUD!!!!!!!!!!

BLU 13 October 2014 08:00 PM

Yup, no pics! Standard grill is 3 pieces, the main 'centre piece' and two smaller trim bits either side that clip to the headlights/bumper ;) the morrettes just replace the trim bits!

I need to some research on how to post pictures....

Yet, I have a one piece grill surround. I will be look on the bay today to see if I can find one in the right colour.

hi chap.. of course i read my replies. the last two photos are hosted on photobucket... thanks

alcazar 14 October 2014 05:37 PM

I give up...THERE ARE NO PHOTOS ON THIS THREAD.

I repeat.....get them hosted on Photobucket. Click on the photo there, click on "direct link" and copy the url.

Then on your post here, click on the image icon...another window opens up. Paste the url you copied from Photobucket into it and click OK.

Then click to post as usual.

Right you have the JDM one piece grille if it the same as the top one.

Which headlights do you have?

These (morrettes)

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...s2c60048f.jpeg

Or these (Prodrive, or similar)

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...s95da7ff0.jpeg

There are two types of genuine Subaru grill the Black one (WRX) and the better looking of the two (Prodrive/STi)

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...s20f392f8.jpeg

If you haven't got the morrette lights then you'll need the grill infill (trim) pieces for either side of the grill

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...pse21d66de.jpg

PS the second grill you posted (the one you want) I think is what Morrette supply with the quads

HTH :)
