RB320 over the moon!

:)I pick my RB320 next sunday and im well happy :) not sure what to do with marmite yet? sell, break or use for track? The rb has got the standard prodrive exhaust system which don't give it that burble so much, what upgraded box is best to get sound back? cheers

i would be more worried about that engine destroying itself instead of the exhaust sound................

Its fully forged and uprated block, cosworth headgasket etc, all done by RCM..so think its ok. Miltec exhausts seem good

The Trooper 1815 03 October 2014 10:52 PM

Where did you get it from Bry?

gregwill 03 October 2014 11:05 PM

very nice choice bry boy!!! :thumb: As for your exhaust I got a miltek on mine pretty quiet on just pottering around but when I give it the beans it sounds awesome, but then that's on my jdm so might be different on a uk :wonder:

Well marmite I think you should keep for track if its possible for you. It can certainly shift!! So all really boils down to funds and are you really going to be able to do many track days init?

What made you go for the rb320?

Greg :thumb:

I read some good reviews on miltek exhausts :) some say the blitz nur spec? Ive always liked the hawkeyes as they mean looking but reason for RB320 was basically all the work carried out by RCM and its limited edition, but more to the fact engine had over 10k spent on it to get it bullet proof..Marmite is for sale but in no rush so could just hide her away until track days :norty: I couldn't break her as it hasn't let me down once  But we'll see as shes had 10k engine build and bits done by API/RCM :thumb:

Well done Bry nice cars the 320's

Look forward to seeing it :thumb:

The Trooper 1815 04 October 2014 10:50 AM

I found the Milltek tarnish very easily. The JDM stuff is hard to beat. I have Fujitsubo Ti Titanium cat back system and cannot fault it.

Nice car you've bought Bryan, I look forward to seeing some pics. :)

Sorry guys, don't think that worked-was trying to upload a few pics!

You need to copy the individual IMG codes for each pic.

The one thing I would say if it were mine is that I'd refit some original rear lights or even fit Blobeye rear lights, the rear lights aren't to my taste and in my opinion do the car no favours.

bry with a y 04 October 2014 10:59 PM

Gonna get a blitz nur spec exhaust or de cat as original prodrive exhaust don't give to much burble which I love about scoobies and makes that sound no other car makes :) might change back lights looking at it but will have to find some originals :)

greg320 05 October 2014 01:35 PM

Had a nurspec r on my 320 awesome sound, but gets a bit too much on journeys, changed it for a full decat Milltek lot quieter but still sounds good when you give it some beans..

Agreed! And that front grille set. :)

It's amazing how just those 3 simple aspects make it look 'much more' than a regular STi. 'Tis a great looking special edition, for sure.

IggyRB320 05 October 2014 07:29 PM

Nice one Bry!

bry with a y 05 October 2014 09:40 PM

Thanks guys for positive comments :thumb: I found out yesterday that the car is very very safely mapped to 300bhp! With all the internals done I know why it feels like the engine is hardly working :) not to say its sluggish its just a smoother power..maybe its because I'm used to my raw classic..just a few little changes with exhaust and a map tweak will have her in my power bracket of 350bhp with plenty of scope left..but I'm not one for chasing numbers :thumb:

thenewgalaxy 06 October 2014 09:34 PM

A well built and forged 2.5 should be capable of up to 450bhp pretty safely. Just depends on what you want out of the car.

An RB320 definitely a lot nicer than the marmite machine!
