2004 rear brembo caliper damping bracket?

Just bought some rear brembos and they have some sort of extra bracket fitted with a weight on there. What are they for? Anti squeal?

its a harmonic damper, not required 99% of the time...........

I thought as much. Don't think I'm going to fit the damper.

On another note, cheers for the gearbox oil. Its completely changed the selection of 4th gear!
