oil advice

Helo people I have a 94wrx, Its been running on 5-30 fully synthetic for the last 5 oil changes (over 10,000miles) Iv been told it's to thin by a number of people. so Im going to be ordering some 10-50 Millers nanodrive :-D. Will the sudden change of oil effect anything engine wise?? Should I get a thiner one then the 10-50? Any advice will be helpfull

jaygsi 19 September 2014 11:20 PM

I'd go Miller's bud like me. Pity we don't live closer Opie offers free postage over £100 spend

S700BYE 19 September 2014 11:51 PM

thanks, do u think it will cause any problems changing to a 10-50 after running on 5-30 for so long??

S700BYE 20 September 2014 06:12 PM

AS Performance 21 September 2014 02:53 PM

we offer competitive pricing / delivey options on both Millers & Motul (and potentially a new high quality unusual offering - watch this space)

our std pricing on various parts often betters various peoples "deals"

oilman 21 September 2014 04:02 PM

S700BYE, I think we are the cheapest around for Nanodrive at the moment, but if you find it cheaper, we should beat that price.

Cheers

Tim

your statement is wrong........

as one of the longest established Millers Motorsport wholesalers we have always offered very preferential prices, as we consistently do on Motul Motorsport also - we did this long before certain suppliers even knew either of these quality products existed ;)

Your beginning to sound like a salesman! :lol1:

nope just passionate about what we do and sick of the myriad statements of "best pricing", "unbeatable deals", etc. bandied around daily not just about oils & fluids but other products too............seems to me people assume that on the 'net they can make any old nonsense a "fact"

a quick google shows your mistaken, to be polite but what would i know, i'm not a salesman

On Millers Oils CFS 10w-40 Competition Full Synthetic Engine Oil-5 Litres

opieoils offer it for £54.98 - 10% discount = £49.98

AS Performance offer for £45.00 with no mention of postage as yet but upon clicking checkout says (ERROR 403 - FORBIDDEN)

jaygsi 22 September 2014 05:55 PM

I've checked one company £58.08 other £66.00 not saying which is which lol

:Whatever_

I'm afraid it is.

edsel 22 September 2014 06:49 PM

I might add that if I can buy a product thats cheaper I'm not going back to someone for a price match. If you dont give me your best price in the first instance I dont want to deal with you.
However if you have provided good service in the past I will gladly remain loyal and pay a few quid extra.

*matthewturb2000* 22 September 2014 07:09 PM

so if they both do price match and better it, we could end up getting frre oil after a 1000 emails lol

I got the same error on his website so dont know about his shipping costs.

Anyway, the OP was asking about the nanodrive. Opie Oils price 1 x 5ltr Nanodrive CFS 10w-50 £58.99, - 10% discount £53.09 inc vat. That is competitive and the cheapest I have found on a quick search.

A quick google shopping search, there is a seller listng 1 x 5ltr Nanodrive CFS 10w-50 at £1.49 cheaper than us, but that is before you add your 10% discount.

So, yes our statement was not wrong plus we will try beat a price if found cheaper.

Cheers

We are passionate too, and we are also frustrated by other sellers on the net and the way some of them trade, but hey the internet is here to stay so might as well make the most of it and some fair competition can be good.

On here you are as much a salesman as are we. That is why we both have a trader status, so we can come here and trade/sell. But like you we are also passionate about our trade and like to offer good advice, that is why the OP had a reply on a Sunday from both parties. I don't see many other of our competitors doing that.

We are specialists in what we do, you may not like the way we market it but if you wish to question our knowledge and experience then please give me a call on 01209 202949 to discuss.

And, hopefully for the last time. Our statement was not wrong.

Cheers

Guy.

After I believed that one of opies one week only lets make a funny word offers I purchased a K&N. Not only did a find it cheaper after placing the order. It took nearly a week to arrive. I realised that most of the prices you quote with "limited period code" just brings the price down in line with other retailers. I got tired of playing the game and unsubscribed from the junk mail list.
As far as millers nano 10/50 is concerned I can get very close to your price without a "code" that makes me think I'm getting a bargain.
