the GC8 number matches it to a WRX but the engine & gearbox dont:confused:

Gearbox is the same in the WRX and STI for that year.

EJ20G is the engine from early WRX and STIs

So all you can do is go by the Applied Mode code which is a WRX as has been mentioned
