Have I broke my diff :(

Well today driving home from the gym crusing at a steady 60 car was still cold so was taking it easy and heard a rattle it's coming from the rear of the car I've tried getting the noise on video you can hear it at the beginning not great I know lol if it is the diff what ones should I be trying to find it's a uk2000 running a p1 box so I'm guessing I'm gonna need the p1 diff where is the best place to source one ??

Cheers
Craig

Well if you have a P1 box you need a matching 4.444 diff

Check the chart http://www.gearhack.com/myink/ViewPa...smission+Chart

banny sti 02 September 2014 10:14 AM

You need an R160 4.44 rear diff as fitted to the sti v3,4,5,6 and P1 :)

Thought I would update car is back up and running managed to source a low miles v5 sti diff upon removing my diff turns out it still was running the standard uk2000 diff so who ever changed the gearbox didn't change the diff so the ratio was incorrect hence the failure a new driveshaft was also fitted as the one was chewed up thanks for the advice and I wanna say a huge thanks to the lads at Arden bridge services they have been good as gold and once again got me out of the *%#* I reccomend them to anyone :thumb:
