Difference between app radio mode and mirror link
Just bought the pioneer f60dab and just trying to understand the new technology. My iphone is a 4s. What i want is to control my phone from the head unit and running dashcommand.

Think i got that wrong. Its the difference of being connected through the usb to phone and the mirror link adapter you have to buy seprate with hdmi and usb connected
|
The usb to phone doesnt work in app mode well my last one didnt had to buy a wire that connected to both usb and jack plug
|
I have a similar setup in my impreza...pioneer head unit running appradio from my iPod touch in the glove box. I bought the right cable from amazon to go in the head unit and the 30 pin adapter for the iPod - it was about £15 for the cable.

After flicking through a 100 pages in the manual. From phone to usb is ipod control and it says for the app mode to get this cable
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330839557053 That does the same job as the lightning adapter. Whats the one you got useing |
My cable was the CD-IU201N and cost me £15 from amazon.
I can do either mirror link or the full on app radio interface |
Just had a look at the manual for your stereo and the cable you put in the post above mine is the right one :-)
|
I will get that one and see how i get on with it

I bought this one as it says the model number for the lead i need but the the little tabs are slightly out of line at the back of radio. So something is wrong somewhere |
