Here we have for sale an absolute bargain of a UK2000 that has had extensive work done to it to maintain the car and convert it into how all scoobies SHOULD come as standard.

All work has been carried out by Andy Kindon at AK Automotive a very well known subaru specialist in the north east so rest assured the work that has been done on the car has been done to a very high standard.

V3 sti heads
Td05 20g billet
Hybrid fmic
740cc injectors
Simtek ecu remapped by bob rawle
Hrc 290 fuel pump
Ported headers
Full scorpion decat exhaust 2.5inch
Downpipe and up pipes been upgraded
6 speed conversion done*
Brembo front brakes*
Interior been changed to sti one*
Just had a full respray not long back

Hi Matey - being a UK Turbo 2000 how are the both rear arches ?? As its covered 125k miles on the chassis pal??

Any closeup pics?? has it had the arches done previously or still original??

The engine is a Newage block that has been rebuilt using widetrack pistons crank and rods. Easily strong enough to handle the power that the billet 20g turbo is making.
The car was mapped by Bob Rawle and he said it was producing very close to the 400 mark. Never had the chance to get it rolling roaded but Bob is usually spot on with his estimations.

Anyone who is looking for a nice well specced classic impreza this one is well worth the asking price.
It's not often a 6 speed converted 400 bhp classic pops up at this price..

Any clutch/flywheel or suspension mods?

is it laggy with the 20g?

Yes he does but come on sticking almost £2000 on the price and having the cheek to even try getting it cheaper than the asking price is just a little bit of a piss take don't you think..

It's still not a bad price at that, looking at the parts list it's worth that in parts before you get to the panels and little bits and bobs, it's still a cheap car at £6k privately never mind from a dealer, I'm sure max will spend a few hundred quid tidying it up too, as well as what he's spent going to get it and bringing it back, then he's got to warrantee it for a few months.

I don't think he's being greedy at that to be fair.

Unlucky bud :( - it's a cracking scoob and very nippy and I think Scott under-priced it to be honest and that's probably why Hurst bought it and paid his asking price.

100% agreed. If the OP wanted more for it he should have asked for more. No use bemoaning a dealer who is in business to make money. Especially when the car was undervalued in the first place.

What power was that running with the 20g fitted?
And max has listed it as 2800 miles when the chassis has done well over 100k which IMO is more important, especially on a classic, although looks in good nick.

Somebody could of got themselves a nice affordable little classic Scoob there. Now its in my opinion a bit overpriced as are most of max's cars. There's business and there is taking the piss out of us mere mortals that don't have the funds available to buy cars as soon as they come up for sale then stick almost 2 grand on the asking price.

Anyway it wasn't my car i wouldn't of done a deal with a trader and it makes me feel a bit better for paying 7k for my RB5

Sorry I don't agree. A car is worth what someone will pay for it. If he gets the asking price then the car was worth it, if not it wasn't, but remember also he is a trader with premises.

By the time he has allowed a bit of chipping room on the price, added the cost of a warranty, paid for his premises including staff, insurance, rent, rates, energy etc. you can see why a trader's cars are more expensive than a private seller's?

When you buy form a trader you have more peace of mind than than from a private sale (or you should have), that is why it costs more.

As you said the real answer is not to sell it to a trader if it bothers you, but a lot of traders get their cars at such a good price because they have the cash when the seller needs to sell it.

At least Hurst Cars are a good outfit so the buyer will be getting a good car backed up by a trader who wants to make sure the customer is happy.

Does that mean a car of this spec is worth around £7k :D

One of our guys who came over to collect the car said you were a sound guy. We agreed a price you were happy with. If it means that much to you, your welcome to collect the car from us at cost price. Max

Are you on the same planet as everyone else? Do you think car dealers should trade without making a profit? If you we're a dealer, you would be able to ask a premium. Your not, and you got what you wanted for it. Calculate overheads for staff, overheads, showroom, warranty etc. beggers belief...

Funny being asked if I'm actually on this planet when there are numerous people commenting on this thread who are blatantly unable to read and understand plain and simple English.

Sorry but I just don't like traders and yes im fully aware that Max is one of the better ones. This subject has nothing to do with me personally so I will no longer be commenting on it.
I probably won't even look on this forum for some time to come so feel free to rant away at yourselves because somebody has an opinion you don't agree with.
