My new farm tool...

.410 Bond Arms shot pistol. Very rare and difficult to get hold of but valid and legal in the UK under the right permissions. Will be great for close range pest control inside and around the farm buildings :).

Quite a tool, that.

Make sure you knock on the toilet door, first

rudi93 21 August 2014 09:09 PM

Very nice little shooter. Do you have shoots at your farm?

Saxo Boy 21 August 2014 09:10 PM

nice

dpb 21 August 2014 09:14 PM

Surely a rifle with all.the gizmos would be a lot more accurate

markjmd 21 August 2014 09:19 PM

Looks nicely made, but why such a small grip? :wonder:

Without going into too much detail, I'm sourcing a larger grip ATM but a lot of these shot pistols come with that smaller grip as standard. It all depends on the model. Oh, and it weighs a tonne! Really heavy and solidly build so it'll handle the recoil well. A lot of reviews on the Internet, just google :).

The catch here is 'right permissions'! Solid slug allowed?

BBB3 21 August 2014 09:56 PM

Clint eastwood own one of those?

Jer 21 August 2014 10:06 PM

Thats a work of art. I had a go of a shotgun that used these cartridges a few months ago. Great fun.

The Sheep Worrier 21 August 2014 10:23 PM

I'm in love with that!
Have been thinking of applying for the same reasons as yourself, I love my. 410's, brilliant bits of kit for the smaller vermin.

LSherratt 21 August 2014 10:36 PM

If you get the slot on your FAC for one, be prepared to wait a long time and be prepared to fork out a lot. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow morning :).

And scream like a girl.

Stumpy.

ditchmyster 22 August 2014 03:16 AM

Very sexy, want one, presumably the short grip is to do with where it transfers the recoil, looks like as is it goes through the centre of your palm and down the centre of your forearm, if you fit an extended grip then it will probably flip the nose up and send the recoil down the bottom of your forearm.

LSherratt 22 August 2014 09:38 AM

Fookin' hell it packs a punch!! Put 10 2.5" shot size 6 cartridges through it this morning while looking for vermin. Not sure if I want to try my 3" cartridges through it :lol1:

Carnut 22 August 2014 10:54 AM

I want one.

jameswrx 22 August 2014 01:10 PM

I want one! Will it take 3" magnums?

I have a .410 which was antique when my Dad bought it for me 27 years ago. Little Midland folding poachers gun, with old hammer action!

Funny thing, one of mine Is very similar, double barreled side by side folding, with hammer action. Bought it as a present to myself last year, it's bloomin old but it ain't half accurate with number 6's on small vermin, I much prefer it to my beretta semi auto 12 gauge.

Yeah, mine's a double barrel too.

Got any pics of yours?

LSherratt 23 August 2014 10:56 AM

Yes it can take 3" magnum loads but I think that's a bit over kill to be honest plus the recoil will be quite strong. 2.5" shot size 7 will be perfect for close range vermin control around and inside the barns up to 15 feet. I do have some 3" heavy load magnum cartridges but I'll only try that once I have sourced the extended grip for it.

ditchmyster 23 August 2014 11:11 AM

Had a bit of a look at these on the net the other night after you posted, saw a vid of them being tested with various loads and I recon your spot on about the 7's for your purpose maybe a lighter load too, like they do with 20g for women and kids, make for a decent spread at 7yds so you might get more than one rat per shot as they make a break for it.:D

Love the idea of a .410 Taurus 5 shot revolver but I doubt they would be legal in the UK, Yanks get to have all the fun.:(

LSherratt 23 August 2014 11:26 AM

The Taurus Judge .410 used to be legal in the UK as a humane dispatch firearms restricted to 2 shots but now it's completely banned. Not quite sure why as humane killers in the UK have to be restricted to 2 shots anyway. Maybe they just didn't like the idea of a pure .410 pistol with the ability to shoot 5 shots if someone illegally got it unrestricted.

You can get a .410 5 shot lever action revolver shotgun with a 18" barrel. It's called a Rossi something which I was considering but the pistol is more appealing to me and rarer :).

Jamo 23 August 2014 04:18 PM

That's well nice,

Love the lever action, a mate used to have a Marlin with hexagonal barrel, gorgeous piece of kit, and a mate out here has a nice Winchester that's in a proper saddle holster on a western style saddle, loads of fun was had riding a horse shooting at pumpkins on his farm.:lol1:

Edit to add; fill your hands you sons of b!tches.:lol1:
