I had this posted on Nasioc , but felt its long over due to have it recorded here.
Hi All, I thought it was about time I did up a build thread on my Impreza, so today I managed to get a few photos before it rained yet again. First off a bit of background : Motor tax in Ireland is very expensive for any cars over 2.0 litres. 3 years ago I was driving around in an E46 M3 convertible. Motor tax at the time was costing 1600 euros annually. I was so sick and tired of paying the tax, that I ended up putting the M3 into storage and spending the tax on purchasing the Impreza. This was around the time of the recession really hitting hard here in Ireland, and combined with new laws related to high CO2 emissions, people just didn't want petrol cars anymore, so I was able to get the Impreza for a steal. I didn't expect to fall in love with the Impreza so much, but when I was offered money for the M3, I let it go and have continued since with the Impreza. The poor old M3 Attachment 70057 Now the Impreza was parked up for about a year in the middle of nowhere in Ireland, and when I came to view it, it wasn't 100% but I could see a diamond in the rough. The NBR edition, from what I have found out, was a model sold near the end of the Bugeye production in Japan, and basically was a WRX with STI headlights, STI suspension and a raised rear wing and spats/winglets. I believe its 250bhp How the car originally looked Attachment 70058 Spec as of 2014: 100,000 KMs Cusco Strut brace 235/40/17 Toyo Proxies T1R on Rota Grid Drift in bronze Brembos front and rear from STI HTautos front lip Foglights fitted with yellow laminx Hella horns sprayed white Side reflectors sprayed white GFB bov Fujitsubo legalis R exhaust Retrim STI steering wheel Tow hook in case the missus hits something when reversing http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif Rear window wing Sticker bomb center console purely for my daughter ! raised center armrest some random white gear knob Passenger seat mini sub FIAT front window sprayer STI scoop JDM Tilt plate JDM gold wheel nuts http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps6lfswuta.jpg |

Nice clean car and an interesting bit of model history too.
Lots of love returning for the bugeye at the moment, would be a good car to keep hold of. |
Nice car mate! Bugs have got better with age! I hated them when they first came out but absolutely love mine now ! Fair play to ya, great mods !
|
thanks for the compliments folks - need to choose what to mod next now ! I'm thinking 3-piece factory rear diffuser maybe, if I can find it for a decent price.
