Hawkeye Prodrive Spoiler? Rare? Worth much?

Hi guys, having spent the past eight years living and breathing classics I have found myself needing some guidance with my latest purchase.

In addition to my two classic turbos I have just brought a Hawk 2.0r sport as a run around. It has a Prodrive rear spoiler and I was wondering, are these rare and are they sort after at all?

I am trying to work out if it's worth taking it off and selling it and then putting a low level on as this was supposed to be my sensible car...

An old news article seems suggest these cost £550-600 new!

Cheers.

Yeah think you would get £500 - £600 easy for it, not too sure on the demand for them though

Infact used the good old google to look for some for sale can't find anything!

There is one unpainted and primed for £750

So if yours is mint I can't see why it wouldn't go for £500 - £600

Personally think they are awful looking things

Lol agreed £1000 for any spoiler is pretty mental... Unless somebody wants to send me £1000 and it's yours.

Well look out for it on ebay, I will put it on auction and see what I can get!

Postage may be an issue as i'm sure most couriers would f*ck it right up.

Anyway thank you for the help guys. Sensible offers welcome and if anybody has a low level they don't want let me know and I will buy it up.

I recognise that car, was it previously in the Coventry area?

Can't be many 2.0 sports with that rear wing knocking about...

I brought it from a garage in Acton, London yesterday. Its been a few places with 5 owners but can't see any Coventry links. It has the additional stainless mesh lower grill guard too. Oh and one rear mudguard... which i removed earlier lol.

I'm a bit undecided on the wing... I already have a very loud classic with an STI 6 spoiler which is very in your face. The idea was to buy a sport with a low level and no shiny bits just to be a bit more grown up when needed. But this one was cheap and just happened to have that spoiler. But I quite like it. But then I could buy more bits for my track car with the money I make from the spoiler if it sells... decisions.

Mmm.......... a couple of Perrin stiffies, suitably slanted, could enhance the price of a factory spoiler immensely by the seems.

Mad world.

Word of advice. Did you 'bruy' it or 'buy' it?

A suggest the latter, so you 'bought' it, not 'brought' it.

Sorry, one of my pet hates!

Perhaps he meant that he conveyed it from the garage after he also purchased it there? :)

PS my pet hate is flying apostrophe's. :D

£300 for that spoiler I'd say, that's the going rate depending on condition for a genuine sti spoiler which most people are after.

I paid around £280 delivered 18 months or so ago from a member on here, it's a nice spoiler but not at £500 :)
