blobeye prices???
 

What sort of price shoud I be looking at paying for a 2003 wrx blobeye? 82k on clock. Good service history. Good condition. Pritty much standard apart from exhaust and sti spoiler?

Mine may well be up for sale soon - 2005 wrx300 ,,, i need to put a new mot on it then i think itll have to go as need the money for various stuff on new house - its got 105k iirc and full subaru history ,,, guessing ill ask about £4k

A word of caution, the STi (so I'm assuming but I'm not certain the same is true for a WRX) often need new cambelts when they're approaching 80-90k miles, so you may be better off getting a slightly higher miler that has had this done!

The Blobeye WRX seems to be holding very steady on values at present. I always keep an eye on the values of my current motors and my 2005 WRX seems to be worth near as damn it what I paid for it 12 months ago (today in fact!).

I wouldn't say a cam belt change would scare me off buying a car. If its great condition, the model I want with great history then I'm not going to turn it down just cos it's due a cam belt change. In fact I'd prefer it if it was due so I could haggle him down on it and then get it done myself. Rather get it done for peace of mind :)

Yep, bought my 54 plate Blob Wagon PPP with AP 4 pots 3 yrs ago for £4k with 92k on the clock, looking on Autotrader recently it would seem that it's not lost a penny, even with 109k on it, what's even more comforting is that there are plenty well into 130k+ miles, even saw one with 170k on the clock going for well over £3k.

When i bought mine I didn't believe about cambelt stamp at 50k, i changed full kit and my mechanic said im lucky as could pop in any time.
Now 4 years later I hear the same noise (loud pulleys,tensioner)
Some cow rear end mine(mainly bumper dent) and insurance value 4.5k for my03 83k miles with ppp and lpg on board.(now lot less during accident I think):cry:
But I got not bad compensation;)

All that PPI compensation has to go somewhere :)

Scoobynet prices are so low! My misses sold her blob wrx last week, completely standard other than an Sti rear wing, front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirt extensions, chipped and kerbed 18" rotas, MOT until November I think, tax till October, nothing special tyres, in tidy condition but not immaculate......£5100 cash within a week on autotrader and loads of people calling up after it. £3-4k won't get much if you want anything other than a heap.

If thats what they are going for then Im sticking mine on there for 4k lol
