Specialists in South Yorkshire

Just moved to the region and looking for a specialist with a good rep....

I know of Sheffield Subaru Service, but are they any good? What put me off them was when I asked them about an engine rebuild the guy on the phone said they would regrind the crank. I'm looking for someone that knows these cars inside out, who won't rip me off, and can do most work in house, including MOT (if possible).

Any others out there? Don't want to travel too far if it can be helped? Cheers.

banny sti 21 August 2014 08:28 PM

Another vote for Richard Henry, as you can see the amount of work they are doing on my current car :)

Yes mate, love your thread. Will they have time to fit me in, you seem to be hogging all their hours?! :D

joe v3sti 21 August 2014 09:35 PM

Yeah banny! Taking up all that ramp space :)

Scooby-doo97 I cannot recommend Richard Henry's enough. They are very accommodating so I'm sure they'll fit you in. Give them a call, have a chat and I'm sure you will know where I'm coming from. 01274 732508
I wouldn't use anyone else

Joe

Scooby clinic all the way. I have bought car from them, and had various things done, a really helpful bunch

Two ''members'' have less than 10 posts combined singing the praises of Scoobyclinic :Suspiciou

I'm not calling scoobyclinic here, but thier not for me. I don't like how they operate. I'm sure thier work is good.

You've made a good call with RH mate

Maz 22 August 2014 07:34 AM

I'm sure you'll be fine with any of the recommendations but for me Richard Henry every time. :thumb:

Can only report on my experiences with the guys at scooby clinic which have all been positive. Wouldn't rule out RH but can't comment as never used them.
Not sure what what you mean by "members"! I have been running scoobies for years and have had a good few of them just don't spend a lot of time on here hence the very few posts, I just look for info as and when req so:hjtwofing

I've been to the clinic before and I will say it, they are awful (IMHO). I also don't like how they operate but this thread isn't about them so that's the end of that.

Can you not read? You're doing yourself a disservice as I consider you a real member on here, not like the other two who as I said at the time, had less than 10 posts combined with one of them only posting their first 2 posts on this thread, hence the suspicion.

Hi,
just to clarify I may have less than ten posts but have run scoobies over the last ten years, ive had a legacy gt, a legacy gtb, a v2 sti, and now a blobeye, im just voicing my experience as the lads at scoobyclinic have gpt me out of a pickle many a time and through my experiences I trust them with my car more than anynody else, I used another local specialist for a headgasket change and my car ended up with 4 and half grands worth of rebuild required
