RCM "designed" headers/up pipe, what's the deal with these?

Are these RCM quality? Do RCM allow other to manufacture their designs?

Confused.

Or are they just selling on actual RCM stuff?

Advanced do sell other genuine RCM components, so these headers are probably genuine too.
Best way is to call them and ask :thumb:

Comes from the same Taiwan factory as all the other manifolds!!!

Advanced stock RCM parts

Cannon Fodder 05 August 2014 07:32 PM

I've bought plenty of RCM parts from Advanced, they sell them cheaper on the whole than RCM do.

Speak to Cath, she's very helpful and they also give good advice if you need it as well. :thumb:

Bought mine from here http://www.kakumei-motorsports.com/p...STI+(HAWK-EYED

DantheMan2605 06 August 2014 09:11 PM

Kind of disappointing seeing this as I've paid for many items from RCM direct which are clearly much more expensive than the above website

MattyB1983 06 August 2014 09:32 PM

Quite unbelievable really when you think RCM direct charge the best part of £200 more for the exact same part......

johnlogie 06 August 2014 10:38 PM

I bought my second set from here
http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/part...en=&searchKey=

not as cheap as others(didn't know about them) but cheaper than RCM direct

MattyB1983 07 August 2014 08:17 AM

I spoke to Cath regarding these and yep, they are the exact same manifolds that RCM sell.

How can other companies sell RCM products far far cheaper than RCM themselves ???
Everybody knows that RCM are overpriced but this is rediculous surely.

DantheMan2605 07 August 2014 08:32 AM

Agreed.

I'm not normally one to penny pinch, but when it comes to a larger difference...

Serious case of paying for the name exists here I think.

cookstar 08 August 2014 03:46 PM

I'm sure they were £409 in the link I posted. Now thy seem to be £449?

Surely I misread it first time around, they wouldn't have increased the price because of this thread surely.

They were £409.
When I spoke to Cath she said they were on special offer. Obviously that offer has now ended buddy.
