Hi' I have a type r which needs a clutch, it will be modded shortly to around 380bhp, interested in the exedy pink but fitted one to a mates about 4 years ago and juddered real bad, had a new flywheel too so wasn't that, on a search i believe they are now updated and don't judder, could you confirm this please? Thanks.

Yep the new type is supposed to not judder, there are two part numbers for them.

380 would be fine on a pink box, 2 of my friends run similar and more power on a pink box

Yes, the old ones years ago used to judder, so Exedy added a new clutch that eliminated this issue. The one's we sell are anti-judder versions which are lovely and smooth to drive (just like standard).

Here's the correct one for your model: http://aztecperformance.com/clutches...ti-judder.html

Lightweight forged flywheel highly recommended, extra saving as "Buy Together" deal on the website. If you already have a lightweight forged flywheel you could take it to a machine shop to be skimmed as it will likely have high spots on from the slipping/juddering. :thumb:

Yes, of course, you will save on the postage costs that way as you could split cost

Scotsman 21 August 2014 08:35 PM

Hi - can I ask what clutch I'd need for a 2005 blobeye WRX (2.0 PPP)?

Cheers
Richard.

Aztec Performance Ltd 22 August 2014 11:25 AM

This is the correct one for your model. 2005 is the changeover year, but yours being a Blobeye is essentially a 2004 model for catalouge purposes.

In stock and ready for same day dispatch. I highly recommend taking advantage of the "Buy Together" promotion on the lightweight forged flywheel at the same time.

Scotsman 22 August 2014 08:48 PM

Thanks :-)

Does the racing clutch have the same resistance as the standard OEM clutch or is it a bit heavier/more push back?

Aztec Performance Ltd 26 August 2014 10:59 AM

PM'd, but drive just like standard
