blue smoke

can over filling your scooby result in blue smoke ? i dont think my turbo is bust because it still pulls hard and the smoke is only every 10 starts can anybody reassure me lol

jacob360 26 July 2014 08:06 PM

the smoke is from the oil being burnt which normally from the turbo seal, im no expert but i guess the turbo can still work normally and the seal can be gone, even worse could it be a piston ring gone

Oil?

dan320sti 26 July 2014 11:32 PM

Yeah it is a 2.5 iv been told that of you overfill the engine oil it will burn some of it of providing it not to excessive. Its only just started to do it since i put oil in

*matthewturb2000* 27 July 2014 12:17 AM

have you checked the level with the dipstick

johned 27 July 2014 10:27 AM

I guessed it was oil but not stated in the first post,if overfilled then drain some off i never fill mine more than three quarters full.

Gambit 27 July 2014 10:31 AM

If it was overfilled it would be doing it all the time, not just 1 in every 10 starts
