Will a facelift saloon dash fit into a wagon(1995)

Hi guys.
I'm new to all this!! I just got hold of a wrx impreza turbo wagon and I am looking at getting shot of the standard dash and replacing it with a saloon facelift, along with the centre consol etc...
Will this fit and work?? I have googled and searched for over2 hours and not found anything to say it will or won't and if so how!!!
Cheers people.
Love u bye!!👋

Fit? Yes.

Work? If you mean the white dials, sorry, no. The white dials speedo is electronic, the earlier ones are cable driven.

I gather it CAN be done, but it's not something I'd want to take on and I'm OK at wiring.

So I can see it fits in, however all the retaining bolt holes don't line up and the poky outy bits that sit in the bulk head don't line up either, I got the black dials with the rev counter in the middle, I've seen on eBay that they do a wagon face lift and it looks exactly the same.... Does that mean the bolt holes etc would fit as the standard dash would?? And my black clocks fit?? Thanks for your reply bud

in all honesty the later dash is inferior, build quality etc

get yours flocked

I can confirm that a MY99-00 dash does not fit in a 98 car as I have tried jut that. The cross member bolt holes are different and the bolt holes on the firewall and locators are different too. You could do it with custom brackets and drilling holes etc but it would be a lot of work. As the other guys say the dials are completely different and won't work without a massive amount of custom wiring and changing to an electronic speed sensor on the gearbox. Also i'm fairly certain the dial cluster from the older car doesn't physically fit in the newer dash.

As for inferior... not sure on that really. I think it looks better...

Function over form, the later dash is **** build quality wise and button layout is better on the earlier dash too

as above it will fit but will not bolt up plus the steering coweling will not fit right and you have to build a loom out of the two to get it to work
i can flock a dash for you £75 posted ;0)
