SSubaru sued over claims of dangerous auto defect
|
No different to any other car firm, Mercedes-Benz, VW,Audi, have all had law suits against them for engine failures. The German cars are among the worst for engine failures with BMW, Audi and VW all being in the bottom 10 but not Subaru.
Honda have the record for the least number of engine failures, and they have achieved this by having 1 in 344 engine failures. |
Subaru said in a statement Friday that it is aware of the lawsuit and believes the oil consumption of its vehicles to be within acceptable levels. It said it's continually working to reduce the amount of consumable goods its vehicles use. And we know that not only did the hatch STI's have failures, but the nect generation of saloon's had failures. I presume its only a matter of time before we pass judgement on the new model |
Lol, sueing for not checking the oil, what next?

It's like listening to the mainstream UK political parties. Subaru are getting sued so the standard SN poster's defence is to mention other car companies that have had lawsuits against them. Ah OK so that makes it alright then :lol1:

As well as having the ringland issue the 2.5 Subaru engine has issues with the oil pick up pipe snapping thus leading to oil starvation to the pump. This then causes a total bottom end failure / seizure to me this should have been a VOSA enforced recall IMHO. Imagine this happening at 70 MPH on a wet fast lane.

VOSA didn't want to know - I asked them.
