A heads up for those who drive the M4 50MPH zone in Port Talbot
Quick heads up and spread the word.
Driving through Port Talbot tonight, I noticed they have fitted SPECs cameras to the overhead gantries. This is for both East AND Westbound traffic in the 50 MPH zone. My guess is that there will be a variable speed limit for when they close the junctions during rush hour, but who knows. |
Cheers

cheers Pal. well spotted. no more 80mph fun around those bends
|
And just to add to this all of the camera`s on the Malpas straight gantry`s will be activated from tonight.
|
The SPECS in Port Talbot have been taken down now. The brackets and cables are still there, so I guess they will return soon enough.

These cameras went live yesterday. It seems the majority of people have noticed and stick to 50. Just got to careful going through in the early hours, it's too easy to stay at 70!
|
I noticed that on Wednesday morning that the signs stating that the 'cameras were not in use' had been removed, strange though that the final set on the eastbound section / first on the westbound carriageways still haven't been installed.
