Change Jap ecu to uk ecu question
 

Right I have a jap wagon which was standard an had a uk saloon which was moded to what Eva bhp I have took all the modes off the uk an put on the wagon but now it's come to the ecu which I don't no if I can use or not the uk ecu has a polar chip can I use the uk ecu if I change the 3 wires round or is a uk ecu not suitable for the jap wagon

Jap ECU will plug straight in if it's the same age.
You will need to swap crank and cam sensors over

you wont need to swap any wires if its a pre 96 car, however the jap wagon uses a TD04 turbo, the uk saloon of the same year uses a td05. the polar chip is prob mapped for td05.

as above absolutely no need to mess with any wires the best way to confirm what map is on the polar chip is send scott t a message on here with what's written on the chip he will confirm what will and wont work with it.
